Presidents Message

Lacrosse, our National sport, has been delegated to our Co-National sport with the uprise of hockey and its popularity and growth over the past decade. With our national lacrosse heroes winning championships and accolades for our country and doing us proud among the comity of nations, we have seen lacrosse growing leaps and bounds in recent years but it still doesn't receive the recognition that the 'true' lacrosse enthusiast suggests it warrants. As President of the Pacific Rim Field Lacrosse Assocation it is now my duty to oversee and ensure that the sport of field lacrosse, its players, coaches, organizers and fans of our association fully realize their dreams and aspiration of regaining our leadership and re-instituting traditions of excellence in this fabulous sport.

I would no doubt need the good wishes and support of the entire association and welcome suggestions, inputs, and organizational tips in nurturing and grooming the talent of our youth from the grassroots’ levels. The opinions of lacrosse lovers will indeed be a strength I can count upon to bring field lacrosse back to its past glory.

I am a firm believer in the immense potential of my fellow executive whom have been setting enviable milestones in various disciplines and walks of life, including sports. I also believe that the success of an association, company or institution lies in group dynamics and teamwork through which miracles occur. To attain this goal, I will try my utmost to inculcate and encourage 'team spirit' among all executive members, coaches, managers, parents and players in this game.

With your support, I will do my best to meet the challenges and responsibilities to give field lacrosse here for Pacific Rim a new identity. This will require a benchmark! With corporate support of the game and a minor adjustment of all league game formats, improvement and expansion of our infrastructure and the introduction and expansion of our 'development and fostering model' already used by many -- along with the implementation of other multi-dimensional strategic initiatives -- to cultivate and enroot for our long-term expectations.

I am confident that together we will achieve our desired goals!
