The long awaited day is now here! Pacific Rim Field Lacrosse has now opened their registrations for the 2020 VIFLL Field Lacrosse season. We have added the “e-transfer” feature to the registration process. Please read below for some changes to the upcoming season.

Women’s Field Lacrosse
The VIFLL has agreed to start its own field lacrosse league! The season will run the same length as the boys season with each Association registering girls within their own catchment area. Game formats will consist of 7 vs. 7 and played width-wise on a field. Each Association will register girls at U8, U12, U15 and U19 and hope that at least 3-4 Associations can field teams at each age level.

Coaching Applications
If you are wishing to make a difference in a young child’s life and sporting development, then apply today to become a Head Coach or Assistant. We are accepting applications for all levels of boys and girls field lacrosse. Visit the Coaches Information page to fill out the application and send it in. Deadline is August 31st, 2019.

Officials & Umpires Needed
Pacific Rim is in need of a minimum of 12 Officials for boys lacrosse and 6 Umpires for girls lacrosse. If you wish to learn the rules and get a better understanding of the game and have the time to officiate, and make a little extra money… then this is for you! Without an Official on the field, the games will not be played. Please consider giving back if you are over the age of 13. Pacific Rim will pay for the clinic costs.

U9 & U11
These divisions will not be tiered. If registration numbers increase, we will create 2 teams and balance them. These age groups are development levels and the VIFLL see’s the need to increase participation in all Associations. Provided there is enough interest, the potential for a U11 travel team to a tournament in the United States is being discussed.

U18 Men’s Lacrosse
With the decline in participation due to school programs and the lack of registration across the Island; the VIFLL is still looking at ways to increase the numbers at this age level.
Pacific Rim will be taking on this age group in hopes of combining it with the Men’s House League it started last season. This will enable the U18 age group to consistently have weekly games against equally talented opponents with whom have gone through the VIFLL system and Pacific Rim Field Lacrosse Association. We are looking to GROW THE GAME!

More information will follow as it becomes available.
